On Saturday, October 8 we will be EVERYwhere for Avalos. EVERYone will be participating and doing just about anything and EVERYthing you can imagine.

Pick a location near you on a sidewalk, on a stoop, in a park, in a plaza, or any public space and do something fun! What can you do for EVERYWHERE FOR AVALOS? Whatever you like! Be creative. Go big or keep it simple.

Ideas for EVERYWHERE FOR AVALOS DAY activities: 

Live music : BBQ : yoga : tea party : read : DJ : dance : lemonade stand : sunbathe : tai chi : knitting circle : group art project : sidewalk games : juggling : dog biscuit giveaway : karaoke : coffee party: sidewalk party : kite making/flying :

This is going to be a campaign event unlike anything San Francisco has ever seen! Plan your event with your family, friends, organization, or on your own.

We will light up the online map and the streets, stoops, sidewalks, parks and plazas of San Francisco with multiple unique, fun, positive events that will show San Francisco that this is THE campaign with the broadest participation of the people. All day long, in every district in the city, we will be reaching out to neighbors and strangers, telling them about the Avalos campaign, identifying supporters, and registering new voters.

You plan an event. We will supply you with the campaign materials and help you need to make it successful. Campaign volunteers will be visiting many of the events to assist with voter outreach and voter registration. To wrap up the event, we’ll all meet together for a big after-party (details TBA) to share our stories from the day and celebrate this extraordinary people’s campaign!

The success of this extraordinary event will depend on the participation of EVERY Avalos supporter in San Francisco. So mark your calendars and start brainstorming with family, friends, and neighbors about what YOU will be doing for EVERYWHERE FOR AVALOS DAY!

To wrap up the event, we’ll all meet together for a big after-party at Headquarters from 5-7PM to share our stories from the day and celebrate this extraordinary people’s campaign!

As San Francisco’s next mayor, John Avalos is committed to a model of participatory democracy in which we, the people, will truly have a role in the decision making of city government. John believes that the needs and ideas of the community must drive the priorities of government. As a leader in City Hall, John has proven his commitment to these ideals through an extraordinary record of community engagement.

In a real and unique sense, with John Avalos, we are *all* running for mayor. This is what makes the Avalos campaign truly important and special. EVERYWHERE FOR AVALOS DAY is an expression of the ideal of participatory democracy and the event will demonstrate to the city that we are all campaigning together, and if John is elected, we will govern together as well.
